My personal mission for this project is to spread awareness and educate people about proper dog ownership. I want people to be informed that those
puppy eyes and friendly licks are just the surface - having a pet dog requires commitment, money, attention and care from a dog owner. Being aware and getting informed is the first step.

To convey my message, I chose to mimic a pet
shop window, a familiar scene for dog owners and pets, through cardboard boxes, plexiglass and shredded paper.

To go with the emotion of this display, I used transfer blender pens and laser prints to achieve
a rougher texture on the design elements.
This technique is also applied to the text on
the plexiglass.

The quote painted on the plexiglass is from
Mr. John van Zante, a public relations director
from Rancho Coastal Humane Society who helped me with the research phase of the project.
